A gentle drive along the M4 with the odd light fog patch. Costa breakfast and someone had booked my space at the Bridge House. Taking it easy and some was also in my space in the Prince of Wales. Rain and an exhausted early night.

Chippenham. Not a bad little place for a mini beano. Saturday is your best day for The Prince of Wales.

What happened on the second day of mb06 2025

Semi sleep in and it was already hot when I left the Travelodge. Luckily The Bridge House was back open. Police bringing drunks in to get served and a fresh cask of Plum Porter. A gentle afternoon in The Waverley with a fan.

No commentary, just background noise. The Awesome Waverley, Chippenham. 

Spoons reopened. The Police were throwing people in and I sat next to a Fan in The Waverley.

A standard pleasant start to mb06. Costa breakfast and then a ice bucket arrive to the Bridge House. Evacuated when water started to gush from the ceiling. Finishing the pint in the beer garden. The Prince of Wales for the afternoon. Where I had my first £10.00 can of beer. Times are hard!

In Through The….. Chippenham 01

When a pipe burst and The Bridge House is evacuated. If in doubt move to the beer graden and then your favourite Micro Pub. That’s a quality Mini Beano.

Just because it’s sunny doesn’t mean it isn’t cold. Cans in The Bridge House and a Sunny afternoon in The Waverley. Upon leave it was looking rather grey.

Of course it was a rainy start to this Easter Beano. Costa now opens at 07:00, which is a plus. Spoons was rather quiet early on, probably due to it being a wet Easter. Missing Top Plates. The Prince of Wales was Great. Great Welcome, Great Beers and Great Clientele.

A bank holiday weekend and of course it rained. More in Wales than England, of course. The Big News is that Costa Coffee now opens at 07:00. Stored for future reference. Finally remembered Spoons is called The Bridge House. It was rather quiet, maybe because of the weather and Easter.

The Prince of Wales Micro. All about Scottish Sour Samples. Which is what Easter is all about.
