Weird Dad Brewery and Taproom

It’s in Newport, it’s independent and Weird Dad is not even the smallest bit Weird. Even if he seems to have spent the whole of January 2024 visiting Breweries and Taproom. It’s across the Usk River Bridge and near to the Cenotaph. Compact and but very well stock. It has live Untappd updates and takes CAMRA vouchers for its Real Ales.

It may be compact but it has an outdoor Beer Garden and always an excellent selection of Beers, both brewed on site and guest. Cask, Keg, Bottles and Cans. They also serve Mead.

The guy behind the bar is top notch and it can fill up rapidly, especially when Newport County ⚽️ are at home.  It opens at 13:00 on a Saturday and 14:00 on a Friday. Website with other opening times are at  https://weirddad.co.uk/ It’s always worth a visit. Recommended.
